Dayara Bugyal is famous for having one of the highest
rolling meadows in India.
It is situated at a height of over 11,000 feet. The lush
alpine meadow is surrounded by giant Himalayan peaks of Gangotri Peak,
Bandarpoonch, Kala Nag, Srikanth Peak, and Shrikhand Mahadev. These peaks,
along with dense oak and maple forests and charming valleys, create a
picture-perfect scenery that is simply unmatched. If that isn’t enough, the
trails are lined with pristine streams, alpine lakes, lush grasslands, and
remote villages offering a glimpse into Himalayan beauty.
Itinerary
- In the early morning, we’ll meet up in Dehradun and start our journey to Raithal Village, covering a distance of about 190 kilometers over 8-9 hours.
- To make the journey comfortable, we’ll travel in a private vehicle or tempo traveler, depending on availability, ensuring you have a relaxing ride.
- As we drive, we’ll pass through the charming towns of Suwakholi and Moryana Top, where you’ll get to enjoy beautiful views of the Gangotri range and take in the surrounding landscape.
- We’ll also pause at scenic spots for photo opportunities, allowing you to capture the lush countryside and immerse in the local culture.
- By evening, we’ll arrive at Raithal Village, where you’ll check into your guesthouse arranged by Skyhike, with cozy accommodations to ensure a restful night.
- Once settled in, you’ll enjoy a hearty dinner featuring a traditional local vegetarian meal, perfect for winding down after a day of travel.
- After dinner, you’ll have time to relax and prepare for the adventures that lie ahead in Raithal’s serene setting.
- Today marks the start of our trek, We’ll begin with a hearty breakfast at the guesthouse in Raithal Village to fuel us up for the journey ahead.
- Our trek will take us from Raithal Village to Gui, covering a distance of about 4-5 hours. The trail is moderate, with a gradual ascent, making it enjoyable and accessible for everyone.
- We’ll walk through scenic fields and dense forests, taking breaks to rest and enjoy some light snacks along the way.
- Along the trail, keep an eye out for local wildlife; this area is home to various bird species and vibrant butterflies, adding a touch of wonder to our trek.
- Once we arrive at the campsite near Gui, we’ll set up our tents and gather for a hot lunch, with refreshments to energize us for the rest of the day.
- In the afternoon, you’re welcome to explore the area around the campsite, take photos, or simply relax in the peace of the mountains.
- As evening falls, we’ll gather around a cozy campfire, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner prepared just for you. It’s the perfect setting to share stories and connect with fellow trekkers before turning in for the night, surrounded by the tranquility of the wilderness.
- On Day 3, we’ll start with an early breakfast at the campsite to energize ourselves for the day’s adventure.
- After breakfast, we’ll spend a few minutes warming up with some light exercises, getting our muscles ready for the trek ahead. We’ll pack some energy bars and nuts to keep our spirits high throughout the journey.
- Our trek today will take us to the stunning Dayara Bugyal Top and then onwards to Bakaria Top Summit, a journey of about 7-8 hours in total. The trail is challenging at times, but each step brings us closer to breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks, including Bandarpunch and Black Peak.
- As we trek, we’ll pass through areas rich in local flora and fauna, including vibrant rhododendron trees and, if we’re lucky, sightings of the Himalayan monal, known for its beautiful plumage.
- After spending time at the summit, we’ll begin our descent back to the campsite, retracing our steps through the serene landscapes.
- Upon our return, a hot dinner will be waiting for us, offering comfort and warmth after a rewarding day of exploration. We’ll close the day gathered around the campfire, where we can share stories, unwind, and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the mountains before resting for the night.
- Like always, we’ll start our day with amazing breakfast.
- We'll trek back to Raithal Village, which takes around 3-4 hours. Then we'll drive to Dehradun, stopping for lunch along the way.
- We'll arrive in Dehradun by evening, tired but happy after our adventure. We'll have a chance to reflect on our journey and all the amazing things we saw and experienced.

👉 While entering passenger names during the booking process, Do ensure that they exactly match the names on the travel documents (e.g. Aadhar Crad/PAN card/ Passport/Voter ID card/Any Identity Card) that you will be carrying for the Trip/Trek.
👉 The passenger names in the booking form should be exactly as per Adhar Card. Wild Peak Adventure will not bear any liability for the name change fee if incorrect names and ages have been added at the time of booking.
👉 In case your package needs to be canceled due to any natural calamity, weather conditions, etc. Wild Peak Adventure reserves the right to deny a refund request in the event of a disaster, depending on the nature of the disaster and its impact on the organization.
👉 Wild Peak Adventure reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, cancellation rescheduling, closure of /entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we will not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.

👉 If cancellation is made 30 days or more before the Date of Travel, 25% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
👉 If cancellation is made between 29 days to 16 days before the date of travel, 50% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
👉 If cancellation is made between 7 days to 15 days before the date of travel, 80% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
👉 If cancellation is made within 7 days before the date of travel, the total booking cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
👉 If payment is not made as per the schedule provided in the first booking confirmation Email, Wild Peak Adventure reserves the right to cancel the booking after attempting to get in touch with you. Refunds will be issued as per the package cancellation policy.
👉 The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.
- Communication: To contact you about your trip or trek details, updates, and any necessary arrangements.

👉 We recommend avoiding going on adventure trips with young children below the age of 7 years including Dham Yatra. The Dham Yatra has a demanding itinerary that can be challenging for young children.
👉 Children under 5 years old are free of charge. However, Please note that this typically applies to one child per paying adult. Additional children under 5 Y/O may require a separate seat or pay a discounted fare.
👉 Children between 6 and 12 years old will be charged 70% of the adult travel cost (per person).
👉 Children 13 years and older will be charged the full adult travel cost.
👉 Please be sure to provide the accurate age of all traveling children at the time of booking.
👉 Documentation proving a child's age may be required during check-in (e.g., birth certificate, Adhar Card/Passport).
👉 100.0% of the total Trip/Trek cost will have to be paid 7 days before the Date of Travel.
👉 To confirm your Trek/Trip booking, a 40% advance payment is necessary. Once we receive your deposit, we'll send you a confirmation email with all the details, Invoice & due amount, and payment date.
